Ok, so I haven't updated the journal for a looooooong time.

To be honest, I end up blogging and messing about on so many sites these days I don't have anything new to put into this one. But as I logged in today I finally flipped at reading the "Wahoo, new Mac" message from 2004!

It's also about time I sorted out some new deviation uploads too - again my Flickr account gets the lion share there!

I wil try harder this year - I promise!

iMac finally arived last night - about 6 weeks after it was ordered!

Only got some stuff on it at the mo - going to take a while to transfer all the stuff off the works computer, my old iMac etc. but should be ready to start doing some serious playing any day now.

And boy are DVD's crispy on that 20" screen!

Well after weeks of thinking, ranting and worrying I finally just bought my new iMac.

20" of G5 Apple technology heading my way in 2-3 weeks or so... It's like waiting for Christmas when you were a kid!

Figure it must have been months since I was properly hanging out on DA.

Not really a conscious decision, but the home system is so far behind the times I don't even boot it that often anymore. As a result my work Mac has almost become my main machine (it's the only one I can stoke my iPod on - home iMac is vintage and running OS 9). Sadly, this makes creating artwork a bit more difficult as I am meant to be working...

The problem with work at the moment is that we don't seem to be creating anymore - we seem to be turning out endless forms when we used to do work that was challenging. Rubs off on you after a while...

But it looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and replace my home system with something new and funky (either G5 iMac or decent Powerbook most likely) and get back to doing what I like best - portraits and designs. I can't wait, I've missed creating works that interest me - it will be great to have the tools to play once more.

Ra! First entry... there's something to be said about a work ISDN connection and free time

7 minutes until the weekend and I can't wait. Gonna get my camera fixed, round up some mates and do a photoshoot methinks...

Oh well 5.30 pm has arrived and were all out of the studio and into a bar.

(Didn't really think of much in 5 mins did I?)
